Known Issues
- AIM does not prevent invalid certificates being uploaded for HTML sessions - Please check the certificates you upload are of the correct type and valid
- New DHCP IP assignments on 2nd ethernet port will not take effect until the ethernet cable is re-plugged - From AIM web UI enable/disable the eth1 interface which is moreover restarting the DHCP service.
- MAC address on Backup AIM’s 2nd ethernet port shown as “Currently unconfigured” - This is a web page error and will be addressed in a future release.
- Error when attempting to disable 2nd ethernet port on Satellite AIM via the Primary AIM. - User needs to manually take down ethernet 1 interface of the Satellite AIM. Then the user can revert the setting of eth2 interface of Satellite AIM.
- Truncated channel names in OSD - The OSD can only support 25 characters whereas in the AIM menu 45 characters are allowed. Please remember that some Japanese/Korean/Chinese characters are classed as 2 or more characters.
- Bonded mode gets removed from satellite AIM after downgrade or upgrades to the V5.7 - This issue is resolved in V5.8 so will not be present from the next version back to v5.8
- Enabling ethernet port 2 on satellite AIM with DHCP enabled causes the AIM to be reported as Failed after 4-5 minutes - Disable DHCP 2nd ethernet port of Satellite. Ability to add static routes needs to be added.in the next AIM release.
- SNMP only works on Primary or Acting primary in builds v5.5 and above - To be considered for change in future release
- RDP channel still connect as single head after modifying channel to add second head - The change in AIM only takes effect when you log out of the ALIF3000R and log back in again.
- RDP passwords lost after upgrade form V4 to v5 software - Unfortunately, due the nature of the new version – this is not possible to solve.
- On occasion upgrading from AIM v4.12 to v5.5, Hostname and DNS Domain are not populated - Please make note of the settings in case they are not transferred.
- Accents on letters go missing when upgrading from v4 to v5 - Investigating issue with font pack, to be resolved in NEXT release if possible.
- DHCP server does NOT check if an IP address is available before its issued - Ensure you have a clear separation of the pool addresses for endpoints away from the IP addresses for AIM to allow for replacement AIM servers.
- Communication between Satellite and Primary stops when eth1 is set to DHCP on primary AIM - Use a Static Route, which is already available on the Primary’s interface will resolve this issue.
- When using “replace function “for ALIF2000 devices with ALIF2100 devices” Channel does not reconnect - A manual re-connect has to be initiated. This only happens when it is not directly a like for like model replacement,
- Configure channel allows VNC, SSH and HTML channels to select two heads even though only 1 head (monitor) is supported for these modes - Please ensure video 2 is set to OFF
- Do not select “reboot before upgrade” when upgrading ALIF3000R - The “reboot is not strictly necessary on any ALIF unit but does introduce an issue on ALIF3000R where if multiple upgrades are put in progress – only the first unit is upgraded. Solution is to ensure the reboot is not selected.
- Not all information is passed in upgrade from V4.x to v5.x due to incompatibility in versions of underlying OS and DB between v4 and v5 - Please make notes of the following settings before you upgrade to new version: Active Directory (all settings), Email (Domain/IP, Username, Password), NTP (NTP Key), SNMP (Authentication & Privacy Password), RDP (Passwords)
- Secure SSL access has moved to https://:4433
- Occasionally when adding satellite to main , Satellite AIM unit gets stuck on link local ip address - Reset satellite AIM
- In General setting, Fixed EDID – “ Generic” modes have no effect of either ALIF4000 or ALIF2100 series devices - The modes do not appear in the specific pages for each transmitter but if selected via general settings – the ALIF4000/2100 will work with the connected monitors EDID
