ALIF: How to apply the AIM Licence

Out of the box, the AIM Manager supports up to 24 endpoints (Transmitters and Receivers).   To support more endpoints, you must purchase an additional license which comes in different sizes of 48, 96, 192, 288 and unlimited.   This can be purchased through the same sales channel.

The license is not specific to an AIM role, such as a Primary or Backup, it is only for the number of endpoints that it supports.

 Note
If you are using two or more AIM Managers, for example, a Primary and Backup you need to ensure that each AIM has the same number of endpoints on its licence.

Licence Certificate

When you purchase an endpoint license, you will be given a certificate that looks something like:-
Infinity LicenceCertificate

It contains the following information:

  • Serial Number: This is the serial number of the AIM Manager the license key has been generated for.
  • Product code: Each AIM Manager has a unique identification code.
  • Device Limit: This is a description of the licence that has been purchased.
  • License Key: The key that activates the purchased licence.
