In the event that your Primary AIM Manager has failed and your Backup AIM is now an Acting Primary, the procedure below steps you through promoting it to a Primary.

- Open the AIM's web interface.
- From the Side Menu, click on System Care and choose Servers
- In the main panel to the right, click on Configure Server
- Change the Server Role to be Primary.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to commit the change.
