ALIF: Address Assignment Timeout - v4.x (5)

 Important

Customers must update their ADDERLink INFINITY systems to avoid symptoms of an Address Assignment Timeout. The updates listed below have been released to provide an upgrade path to the latest firmware versions. Please note that older versions will only be supported until 31st December 2024.

All other versions of firmware published before 1st August 2024 are no longer supported from 3rd October 2024. It is recommended that you delete or archive older versions of firmware from your AIM to avoid using them in the future.

System Updated

You are now in a place where the AIM and Endpoint firmware have been upgraded. You can pause the upgrade process and continue to operate.

It is highly recommended that you find time to continue to upgrade the AIMs to the latest version of firmware to benefit from the latest fixes and features. Bookmark this page so that you can continue with the process. We recommend you do this before the firmware support expires, see Firmware Versions.

Upgrading AIM to v5.x firmware.

To continue upgrading the AIM to firmware v5.10 or higher, you will need to step through v5.5 first. NOTE: There are no further upgrades required for the Transmitters and Receivers.

When upgrading from v4.x to v5.x firmware, not all the settings are transferred. Make a note of the settings below, before the upgrade and re-apply them afterwards.

  • Active Directory (all settings)
  • Email (Domain/IP, Username, Password)
  • NTP (NTP Key)
  • SNMP (Authentication & Privacy Password)
  • RDP (Passwords) entered via the ALIF3000
